AXEL DORNER – IVAN PALACKÝ – PETR VRBA (DE / CZ)
Axel Dörner (DE) is currently one of the most progressive trumpet players he combines with electronics.
Petr Vrba (CZ) is a trumpeter, electronics and prepared loudspeaker in Prague. He has participated in many improvisation projects and has collaborated with leading musicians from around the world (Xavier Charles, Kurt Liedwart, Yan Jun, Thomas Lehn, Tiziana Bertoncini, Angelica Castelló, …). He is a co-author of the program of 13 raw on Radio 1 and the former dramaturg of the now non-existent “communication space” Školská 28. He is a permanent member of the Prague Improvisation Orchestra and IQ + 1 groups, Poisonous Frequencies, Rouilleux, The MoND, 2 horses too many.
Ivan Palacký (CZ) is an architect, musician and sound artist in Brno. In addition to numerous collaborations on musical projects with improvisers and musical experimenters (Peter Graham, Andrea Neumann, Toshimaru Nakamura, Klaus Philip, Seijiro Murayama, Martin Küchen, …), he founded the Sleda Live Hedgehog Group, works with Petr Vrba at the PIO, Fifth in the World, Wound and Carpets, Curtains.
The Swiss duo Diatribes, who released his last album on one of the most interesting Czech-Slovak label of the present-day Mappa, which developed the possibilities of perfect repetition using acoustic sound objects, leading to an irrational, tribal, ritual experience.
Together they are led by the promotional team and label INSUB., Focusing on electroacoustic, improvised and composed experimental music. Diatribes have been playing since 2004 and their focus has originally come from the effects of free jazz, noise, musique concrète and free improvisation.
The concert is organized with the contribution of the Old Network to New Music project, with the organizers of traditionally unconventional sound and music performances in Prague, České Budějovice, Pardubice, Brno, Ostrava and Opava.
