In this lecture VIDEOGRAM (series of commented projections and Videogram lectures dedicated to presentations of contemporary forms of moving images) invited Andrea Slováková, documentary filmmaker and film theorist.
The lecture presented experimental films that work with reality, use the classic avant-garde approaches to exploring new ways of using expression means, introducing new filming or presentation apparatuses, reflecting digital technologies and the way images and sound originated, and critically reflecting on mediated messages. These approaches were shown in the selection of films from the last two years of the Fascination of the Jihlava IDFF.
Andrea Slováková is a documentary filmmaker, film theorist and dramaturgy of the program section of experimental films of the Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival and is also one of the curators of the Doc Alliance Films online document distribution portal, publishes in periodicals Dok.revue, Iluminace, Kino Ikon, Cinepur and others.
// Videograms are held in cooperation with the Department of Audiovisual Technologies of FAVU BUT, the Institute of Musicology of the MU Faculty of Arts and the Moravian Gallery. Another program at http://www.videogram.cz.
